There’s still lots of finishing, installing and adjusting left to do at the new Salt Spring Library on McPhillips Street. Today the furniture begins to arrive. Grading and paving behind the building are next.
Meanwhile the contractor and sub-trades are scrambling throughout the building and around the exterior.
I hope to do a full set of images to document the new building once everything is in place.
A gathering of my beach friends yesterday. We had a very short meeting.
Late autumn afternoon at St. Mary Lake, Salt Spring Island, BC.
You’ve seen Cameron the wonder Westie before. This is his grown up, on task pose: sitting partly sideways, ears up and watching over the neighbourhood. It’s raining, but I’m not sure he knows or cares. He comes from a long line of wet Scottish Highland dogs.
This photo was taken last week. Since then he’s been to the spa and is looking much more citified.
Buffleheads babbling in the tide. The shoreline fir trees are reflected, turning the tide patterns green.
