The new Salt Spring Library’s backside faces south and west. Functional and durable with some slick heating, cooling and conditioning built in. I think it’s one of Ganges’ best backsides.

I didn’t know this happened in the early morning hours. But it does. Is this a paid position; if so who pays?

7:30 am
Morning coffee and newspaper routine at TJ Beans in Ganges.

Two trees that stand out, even in winter.
The first is the much photographed tree outstanding in its field on the Channel Ridge Farm.

The second is in the fog on Furness Road, at the bottom of Lee’s Hill on the Fulford-Ganges superhighway. We looked at this tree one year ago when it was dressed in snow.
Oh, and this tree at the edge of Burgoyne Bay Provincial Park was feeling left out, so I’ve thrown it in at no charge:

Photographs of Salt Spring Island and areas reachable by ferry and road (and sometimes off-road).
