Inversion
This photo was taken at 11 a.m. Friday from the summit of Mount Maxwell.
While lower elevations–particularly along the shoreline–remained shrouded in the white stuff, the higher regions (e.g. Cranberry Rd.) burst into warm sunshine early in the day. It was t-shirt weather up on the mountain.

Seems that most every morning is special this October. The Salt Spring Air pilots head out at this time of day for the sunrise flights to Vancouver and YVR.
