Look who was first to flower in Centennial Park ushering in Daylight Savings time. Clocks went ahead today one hour—from 2am to 3am. And will go back November 4th.
In this neck of the woods (48° 51′ 00″ N) the sun will rise today at 07:32:11 and will set at 19:15:07 for a total of 11h 42m 56s of daylight.

These two photos were taken about 30 steps apart.
The top photo shows what has happened to the property on the northern boundary of Dunbabin Park and Trail. A large swath has been cleared and a road put in place (which I did not follow as it is private property) just beyond the pile of logs.
The bottom photo shows the beautiful temperate rainforest hiking trail that winds down to several walking bridges which cross the stream.

A quiet morning on St. Mary Lake, Salt Spring Island.

These two little ones were participating in a dance class with Robyn Scott at Salt Spring Elementary school in Ganges. You’ve got to love kids’ faces!
