Broom Tunnel

Broomsville!

Scotch Broom on Isabella Point Road (across from the Fulford Ferry Terminal)

Once the land has been cleared and the sun wakes up the dormant Broom seeds (I’m told the seeds can lie dormant for up to 60 years…) It only takes three to four years to create a fast spreading scene like this.

We’ve seen Broom before on the Salt Spring Photo of the Day (June, 2012). See also Royal BC Museum’s Aliens Among Us.
