Spent a fun time at Sacred Mountain Lavender this week (Thanks for the idea Sue!) watching this guy and his pals. They were in constant motion and the lavender was blowing in the breeze; challenging to photograph!

OK, so not every day is going to be sunny after all.
However, there are lots of these sunny faces on Salt Spring, celebrating a remarkable stretch of stunning summer weather.

Friday’s Salt Spring photo was indeed of the beautiful road into Maxwell Lake/Reservoir. (kudos to Jordan for his correct guess)
The reservoir is in a great unpopulated location, just below Mount Maxwell Provincial Park and high above Ganges. With almost no human altered water coming into this lake, the water piped out of this lake is said to be Salt Spring’s best water. And water quality on Salt Spring is a huge concern.
Calling it a lake invites all kinds of unauthorized/illegal use. Why is Maxwell Lake not called Maxwell Reservoir?
Last October, while flying with Salt Spring Air, we grabbed a quick photo on the way by. It puts the reservoir’s size and elevation in perspective.
