Ghosts return to Grace Islet at low tide.

Another home for your Saturday viewing pleasure.
Complete with stunning spaces throughout.
And an intriguing use of a ‘cantilever’ theme in both structure and built-in furniture.

A superb summer evening aboard the Bowen Queen, crossing Georgia Strait
What Islanders call the ‘direct’ run from Tsawwassen (near Vancouver) to Long Harbour on Salt Spring Island. This unusual BC Ferries run tends to both leave and arrive on time and cuts travel time to half or sometimes to much less than half of the more common, multiple island stop run.
The bonuses this warm summer evening were calm seas, gorgeous skies, three ferries in Active Pass (!) and waiting for a pod of Orcas to swim by. Did I mention that we left and arrived on time?

It’s possible to have a great day trip to the ‘real’ west coast by catching an early morning ferry from Vesuvius and returning to Salt Spring Island in time for dinner. It’s an interesting drive (paved all the way) and there are some great beaches to explore (at low tide).
