It’s a nature treasure hunt along this sandstone shoreline. I’m willing to bet you can’t limit yourself to a dozen photos the next time you visit this area and decide to take a few photos. I know I can’t. And I wouldn’t have been able to way back when there were just 12 frames per roll on 120mm film.

Stunning sculptures. Also available on Gabriola. Water has power over us in so many ways.
It’s a fun explore with water on three sides and deep blue sky behind. Easy to walk on too, kind of like your footwear has, well, sandpaper on the bottom!
Lately the lack of water around here is making us worry. On a recent trip across Vancouver Island, despite crossing many, many bridges, I saw only one with water running underneath.
wonderful photos … they invoke memories of many visits to joshua tree national monument in california and my recent visit to cappadocia in turkey
Thanks Rick. It often seems easier to ‘see’ more when you are away from your home base, don’t you think?
