Coworker

11:30 a.m.

When you work from home you take what you can get when it comes to coworkers. This little one looks at me through my office window. And I look right back. I liked the directional winter sidelight coming through the trees today, so we had a 10 second portrait session.

Jack waiting in Ganges

11:00 a.m. Ganges
I met Jack on a cloudy day in Ganges. He was waiting on the boardwalk for his human.
Nothing tugs at the heart like memories of an old friend.

Sneak Preview

May 20, 2015

Was kinda busy on Friday with the GISPA performer portrait photoshoot. All I can say about the samples below is that you’ll get to see all 32 as high resolution prints soon. Hints for now: black and white and sometimes a touch of red. A gate outside a mysterious circus opens at midnight. A show I couldn’t possibly miss. You?

Business Portrait

Almost everything I show here on SaltSpringPhotos.com has little or nothing to do with what I do day-to-day. So here’s a tiny glimpse of the commercial side of what I do. Donald came to the studio looking for a business portrait, one where he would look competent and approachable. He wanted a dark background for his new website and liked photos with lots of negative space. I think we nailed it.

OK, that’s enough of that, I’m taking you back into the mountains tomorrow. Dress well, it’s wet up there.

Memory for Mom

While on AQUA shoot

While on a shoot with Chris Humphries for AQUA Mag, Chris’ son helped by holding a reflector for some of the shots of his Dad.

So during the shoot, I asked him to hop up on his Dad’s desk for one shot to check the light. He did…with style. (his mother likes it :)

More photos from the shoot on the johncameron.ca photo blog.
