A man casts for a big one along the Campbell River on Vancouver Island.
This spot is about 2.5 hrs from the Vesuvius Ferry Terminal on Salt Spring Island. (via the inland super hwy.)

This is the flip side of yesterday’s Shoreline Sculpture image. Yesterday’s image was captured looking somewhat inland. Today’s image looks more out to sea. The wind was coming up, there was a light rain and the colour and texture of the intertidal zone was magnificent.
For the gulls on the nearby rock, just another day at the office.

The Green Point headland between Long Beach and Combers Beach in Parks Canada’s Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.

A lovely west coast scene on a misty, late summer day.
This is a long exposure photograph (eight seconds, on a tripod). The soft, blurred areas indicate waves passing. This is an attempt to capture the contrast between the constant wave motion and the solid rocky headland.
Photographs of Salt Spring Island and areas reachable by ferry and road (and sometimes off-road).
