Hands on clay and computers in the Gulf Islands Secondary Art Room.

Picked this gem up at the unofficial, November version of the Salt Spring Saturday Market. I’m guessing it looks better than it tastes, so maybe I’ll just look at it for awhile.

What you are looking at is a wet leaf.
Wind, swirling around the corner of the house, slapped the leaf onto a wet window. The red colour on the left is a reflection of a large Japanese Maple in the garden. The green at the bottom of the image is a reflection of ferns. The crosshatch pattern is from the window screen behind. And the light area behind the leaf is a view though the house and out the front window.
The scene was not manipulated in any way. No modification was made to the existing light.

Sunday Special
Leaves on a few trees in the garden are stubbornly refusing to fall. And some of those that have been blown off are not going without a fight. This one is captured between the boards on our deck. The horizontal lines behind are the siding boards on the house.
