It’s been some time since I posted a ‘Saturday home’ photo. This cottage conforms to the 602.77 square feet restriction. Somehow it feels much larger.
I call this architectural trickery, spacious minimalism.
Really, how much more do you need?

Conflict

Fresh out of the studio, another piece by Peter McFarlane. You may remember that among other artistic endeavours, Peter creates sculptures from repurposed materials. And sometimes his work makes a statement of the conflict between wild animals and man.
Coincidently, while picking up his work today he mentioned his ongoing battle involving the deer who somehow continue to find their way past his defences to happily forage in his garden… sounds like Salt Spring Island.
Deer

Late day, regular visitor to the Salal slope on the west side of our house. Also three other bucks, 2 doe and a lovely little fawn (and far too many rabbits).
