And back in the studio for an afternoon tangling with Sean’s creative insects. Salt Spring artists are constantly extending their ideas, and Sean is no exception. From the Office Window
Through the office window on a dark rainy day, a Pileated Woodpecker and I keep an eye on each other.
bonus: the bird was frozen on this Douglas Fir for more than six hours. Only its head was moving. I’ve read this can have something to do with that pesky hawk again. (after an altercation with a predator, the woodpecker may not return to its nest until the hawk has left the area)
