It doesn’t take too many trips on the Vesuvius-Crofton ferry to start looking around for an interesting view.

I saw a photo the other day that might have been taken at this same spot and thought I’d stop on my way by and give it a try. The winter tides are lowest at night and the Fernwood Pier lights shine all night, illuminating the normally submerged sand and seaweed.

While photographing the dress rehearsal of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the other evening, there was a wee delay due to some pyrotechnics experimentation, an ensuing fire alarm and a wait for the fire folk. I was able to busy myself by capturing a redundant photo of the photo show.

I met these two very well behaved rescue dogs from Mexico while riding the Crofton-Vesuvius ferry.
