The Alders add a purple-red colour to this layered Spring landscape. The photo looks across a farm field toward the bluff along Cranberry Road.

I’m a big fan of picturesque wooden bridges, especially covered bridges.
But the old wood bridge was replaced with a new five million dollar (wood free) bridge over the Chemainus river. There’s also a view-spoiling gas line pipe spanning the river on the west side of this bridge.

This was a day trip from Salt Spring to Nanaimo Toyota where my Tacoma gets its yearly spa treatment. While there I saw this interesting little 2 litre (200 hp) motor in a Scion FR-S. Note the intake manifold sports both Toyota and Subaru branding.

Changeable spring skies in the Gulf Islands; simultaneous sunshine, clouds and rain showers.

Stopped in to a new JJ Bean store at Bidwell and Davie while on a day trip to Vancouver. Clever mix of vintage and modern—inside and out at this café.

ArtSpring: full house.
I was pretty sure the charging stations behind ArtSpring were completely unused.
But the other day I saw that this electric Smart Car was hooked up and beside it plugged into the other station was a Nissan Leaf.
