7:30 am: Sunrise in Ganges Harbour
Salt Spring Air’s Maple Bay to Ganges flight arrives at Ganges Harbour just as a low cloud and fog develop.
Makes for a gorgeous west coast moment.

Stefanie is a work experience student at Gulf Island Secondary. She helped deliver and hang a photo at Fernwood Café and then dropped by the studio to learn about using strobe lights (flash) and help setup for a business portrait appointment.
We were also experimenting with a pair of new 1′ x 3′ softboxes and grids. The quick shot above used just one softbox.
Another Sunday experiment.

Reuse/Recyle: Salt Spring style
Quite often creative Salt Spring artwork comes through my photo studio. Thought you might like to have a peek at this one, a commissioned piece by Peter McFarlane. It stopped in for a portrait session on its way to a well known museum in eastern Canada.

I heard somewhere recently that 70 percent of Canadians remove only 30 percent of the snow from their cars.

Unusual February morning with a bright blanket of snow, a deep blue sky and crystal clear air. The sun was playing with the snow covered branches—a visual delight.
Loving these snowy days but pretty much ready for the power to come on.
