With the island now under water, I think it’s safe to say the drought of 2015 is over.
It’s time to start building home systems to capture and store winter and spring rains for summer use.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Salt Spring Photographer John Cameron
Overcast, light showers, grey, fog patches, dark. The shortest day of the year was, as far as I could tell, short on pretty.
And I’m hoping this dull monochrome image portrayed the day well.
Still holding out hope for a glimpse of the rare Christmas full moon…
This is the Booth Canal area during the high ‘winter’ tides.

3:22 pm St. Mary Lake
Dramatic skies this (darkish) afternoon; lots of folks out during a break in the monsoons.
Possibly to watch the airshow.
*There might be a short break in the stream of daily photos as we venture—weather/ferries permitting—off the Island and head to the big city for a few days.

Photographs of Salt Spring Island and areas reachable by ferry and road (and sometimes off-road).
