At the beach.

The Pieris japonica blooms with cascading white flowers. But the new leaves then start as pink to scarlet red and really steal the show.

Even with a record warm and dry winter, it’s beginning to look a lot like Spring on this ‘north end’ farm.

Near Prevost Island.
Sailing is a popular, year-round pastime on Salt Spring Island.

Maybe it’s just me.
But once we get to the time change, spring skies and spring temperatures, it just doesn’t feel like winter anymore.
I like the startlingly blue sky, the fresh air, and leaving jackets behind.
Much more than I like seasonal allergies.
