Canadian Flag Illuminated
It was fun to come across this ‘flag’ on the side of a rustic old wood shed.
The shed looked strangely familiar…

Gulf Island Secondary School (GISS) on Salt Spring Island
‘CLOSED’ seems a bit harsh. Lots goes on behind the scenes in a school district during the summer. But I’ve not seen the playing fields so brown—ever. Perhaps it’s just the the fields that are closed.

This is a great place to get a reprieve from the unusual late day heat, particularly with a north-west breeze.
Inland on the west-facing rock the thermometer read 31 degrees. But it was goose-bump/chicken-skin weather watching the sunset.
