A weathered boardwalk winds it way through the Sitka Spruce fringe on Canada’s west coast.
Gorgeous, even in light rain.

Built in 1929; restored and cruising now. This lovely boat is tied up in Ganges on Salt Spring Island.
I wonder what the chase was all about and what it might be about now?

I admit to being a design junkie. Whether a potato masher or a Porsche, things that work and look good doing it interest me.
So I noticed this car across the street in downtown Ganges. We don’t get that many cars like this on the Island. And, actually ‘noticed’ is an understatement, ‘barely survived whiplash as I rubber-necked’ is probably more appropriate.
Then two walkers happened by, oblivious to the graceful lines of the Porsche, and in some ways polar opposites to the car. To complete the tableau, the window reflection shows an older fellow stopping and turning around to inspect the moment.
Life and times in a small island town.

Water seems to be returning to the mountains.
This is Harris Creek alongside the Pacific Marine Circle Route (committee’s name, not mine).
A lovely sight and lovely sound on a recent spectacular fall afternoon.
