Sliding across the ocean to Vancouver Island
Within a few minutes there was a sunrise, a rainbow and a heavy shower. Spring on the west coast.

Primary colours.

Maybe it’s just me.
But once we get to the time change, spring skies and spring temperatures, it just doesn’t feel like winter anymore.
I like the startlingly blue sky, the fresh air, and leaving jackets behind.
Much more than I like seasonal allergies.

Interesting walk—in a very different landscape—around ‘The Quarry” near Cobble Hill and Shawinigan Lake. It’s an easy detour when travelling from Salt Spring Island to Victoria (via Vesuvius-Crofton ferry).
Photographs of Salt Spring Island and areas reachable by ferry and road (and sometimes off-road).
