What a great changing spring sky yesterday afternoon about five o’clock. Within minutes, we had blue sky, then a full rainbow, then the sky pictured above, then an ominous dark sky.

Here’s another Saturday home. We’re looking (from Salt Spring) through Captain Passage with Salt Spring on the left, Prevost on the right and Galiano in the background. And Vancouver behind the clouds. This is a small portion of the upper deck of a two-deck home on a 25 acre estate now on the market (for less than a knock-down in Vancouver…).
Whistler Air C-FJBP and The Scholarship
6:45 a.m.
A Whistler Air Beaver seaplane; (part of, and sporting Harbour Air colours and operating a Salt Spring Air route…I think I’ve got that right) has been prepped by the dockhands and is ready for the first passengers of the day. In the background, the School District 64 (Gulf Islands) water taxi Scholarship is heading for Sturdies Bay on Galiano and Miners Bay on Mayne Island to pick up students and bring them back to Salt Spring Island for the day.

Blue Sky with Great Clouds
Rain weary Salt Springers stumbled around in awe today as the sky turned a stunning blue and the clouds put on a shapeshifting demonstration all afternoon.

5:09 p.m. Looking more or less north west from the same spot (55 mm lens this time). That’s Tent Island in the middle, Penelakut Island to the right
