It doesn’t take too many trips on the Vesuvius-Crofton ferry to start looking around for an interesting view.

I saw a photo the other day that might have been taken at this same spot and thought I’d stop on my way by and give it a try. The winter tides are lowest at night and the Fernwood Pier lights shine all night, illuminating the normally submerged sand and seaweed.

I met these two very well behaved rescue dogs from Mexico while riding the Crofton-Vesuvius ferry.

Acting 11 and 12 students and Second Story Theatre took Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to the ArtSpring stage last night (and tonight and Friday night).
It’s a complex undertaking and filled with delightful moments.
This photo is from the dress rehearsal. See also this Gulf Islands School District page for a gazillion more images.

Perhaps it’s just me (befogged?), but I’m a huge fan of this January’s fog on Salt Spring Island.
This is a colour photograph; the colours have not been adjusted.
