Scotch Broom on Isabella Point Road (across from the Fulford Ferry Terminal)
Once the land has been cleared and the sun wakes up the dormant Broom seeds (I’m told the seeds can lie dormant for up to 60 years…) It only takes three to four years to create a fast spreading scene like this.

Looking out Ganges Harbour (Ganges is slightly to the right of this view) and wondering what the summer will bring as this sleepy island wakes up to the seasonal influx of visitors.
Early morning on Trincomali Channel
A peaceful dawn from Fernwood pier looking east towards Walker Rock, Galiano Island and Active Pass.
The sliver of moon, Walker Rock and the moon’s reflection are lined up. Can you see them? (tough at this size)
Initially it was the light coming into this high school multi-purpose room that caught my eye. Then I noticed the concentration and focus of the kids. School District 64 (Gulf Islands) has a strong Aboriginal Education program.
