Oceanfront

Oceanfront
Just the right amount of lawn to cut: none. Looks like it might be time to rappel down and deal with a few scotch broom plants though. Recently renovated with impeccable attention to detail, this south-west facing home has spectacular water views. It’s one of my favourite Salt Spring Island homes.

1907 Saturday Home

1907 Renovation

Any Day Now

Any Day Now

Any day now, this tree house is coming down. We knew the little girl who used to play way up there. But she’s all grown up and moved away.  Sadly, the house is coming down, perhaps by itself. Perhaps in the next November wind…

Blue Hour

November 9, 2015

A Salt Spring Evening View

A cloudy day, after sunset looking east.

The ambient colour of the night sky is much cooler than the man-made lighting of the home—until the sky is black.
Even on an overcast day.
And that’s why it’s sometimes called blue hour.
