In an unprecedented move, Salt Spring Photos is heading out on the road for a couple of weeks. We’ll be back in business about September 26th.

Mount Erskine Hike

It’s been awhile since Cameron and I have hiked to the Erskine summit. We headed up yesterday in the rain and saw something we hadn’t seen for months: puddles!

Despite the drought, the forest greens were looking healthy. There were also signs of heavy trail use, but not a single bit of litter.

A single cruiser overnights at Fernwood Pier in autumn-like weather. The pier is one of the quietest early-morning places on northern Salt Spring island. Before long, the winter birds will arrive in this area and liven things up a little.
