A beautiful hillside seen during Saturday’s lengthy dog walk.

Yesterday I was travelling to the studio
down one of Salt Spring Island’s best roads
in the 9am sunshine
and came across this foggy corner.

Moss covered Cedars lean towards the light in one of the Island’s temperate rainforests.

It doesn’t take too many trips on the Vesuvius-Crofton ferry to start looking around for an interesting view.

I saw a photo the other day that might have been taken at this same spot and thought I’d stop on my way by and give it a try. The winter tides are lowest at night and the Fernwood Pier lights shine all night, illuminating the normally submerged sand and seaweed.
